# TestNet MetaMask Install/Import

### Installing and setting up MetaMask

📁 First, you’ll want to head over to the MetaMask [Download page](https://metamask.io/download.html).

Select your favourite browser and follow the steps to install it on your device. There's also a Mobile MetaMask wallet available (iOS and Android). This guide will focus on the **Desktop browser extension wallet**.\
\
After you have followed the instructions on how to install, go on to create a new wallet. Write down the backup seed phrase, and store it in a secret place (*it's **not** recommended not to store it on an Internet-connected device for security reasons*). **Without the seed phrase, your funds can’t be recovered if your device is damaged or lost**. MetaMask will ask you to confirm the seed phrase before you can continue.

You can now send an receive funds on the Ethereum blockchain. Next step is setting up Binance Smart Chain.\

### Configuring MetaMask with Testnet Binance Smart Chain

Remember that the default MetaMask configuration is not using Binance Smart Chain Testnet. You have to add it manually.

{% hint style="danger" %}
You will lose your funds if you send them to an address you can't use or don't control.
{% endhint %}

Follow these instructions to add BSC Testnet to MetaMask.

1. Click on the MetaMask icon. It's located the top right in your browser window.\
